" I would make a miracle happen but I would rather do magic." - Amira Abidah Abdullaham
Counting chickens before they hatch is such bad luck in my culture. I remember being pregnant with my first child and I became so excited as soon as I found out that it was a girl. I wanted to buy clothes to prepare for her. My mom shot the decision down and told me that it was bad luck to do things before you knew what was going to happen. I was very confused because I didn't grow up believing in superstitions even though I was submerged in the ideology from both sides of my family. My dad always taught us differently when it came to certain beliefs and his teachings made more sense to me.
Years later, I started to become active in church and learned how the word of God works. The scriptures mentioned above taught me that I had the power to make things happen just by speaking them. So why was I taught not to say certain things or do certain things that would go against this biblical teaching? When having faith in something it is to believe in something unseen with the physical eye but spiritually knowing that what you have faith in will be manifested into the physical, through channeling energy to this very thing. Libations, prayer, meditating, speaking, dancing, and raising vibrations are ways to channel energies to the things that you are manifesting.
I've heard quite a few people mention how they are going to manifest things in their life such as tangible items (i.e.., cars, money, houses, etc.) In some cases, these things have come true just the same as one speaking about negative things to happen in your life and channeling energy to your dreams and visions. But why have manifestations become so popular in the everyday language? Manifestations are merely hopes that something will happen no different than faith, hope, or beliefs. My theory of the popularity of the term "manifestations" derived when the conscious movement branched off from the traditional beliefs of things that were known as voodoo, superstitious, bad luck, counting chickens, etc.
Think about when we find a new gadget or have a new idea we wish to share with others because it works for us and would like others to try it.
But the beauty of it is watching these very things come to life like magic. I like the term magic because magic is unexpected. We know that a miracle will happen but we are not sure how it is going to happen. Imagine speaking life to your finances, business, negative thinking, family, laziness, focus, and any other area in your life and investing the work for the things that you are manifesting, depositing the faith and belief in the manifestation. I am choosing to relate this article to biblical scriptures because manifestations have been around a long time such as prayer and any other act in the belief system.

Faith Without Works Is Dead
(James 2:14-26)
14 What good is it, my brothers, if someone says he has faith but does not have works? Can that faith save him? 15 If a brother or sister is poorly clothed and lacking in daily food, 16 and one of you says to them, “Go in peace, be warmed and filled,” without giving them the things needed for the body, what good[a] is that? 17 So also faith by itself, if it does not have works, is dead.18 But someone will say, “You have faith and I have works.” Show me your faith apart from your works, and I will show you my faith by my works. 19 You believe that God is one; you do well. Even the demons believe—and shudder! 20 Do you want to be shown, you foolish person, that faith apart from works is useless? 21 Was Abraham our father not justified by works when he offered up his son Isaac on the altar? 22 You see that faith was active along with his works, and faith was completed by his works; 23 and the Scripture were fulfilled that says, “Abraham believed God, and it was counted to him as righteousness”—and he was called a friend of God. 24 You see that a person is justified by work and not by faith alone. 25 And in the same way was not also Rahab the prostitute justified by works when she received the messengers and sent them out in another way? 26 For as the body apart from the spirit is dead, so also faith apart from works is dead.
We must be careful with what and how we say about ourselves and others. Manifestations and curses are done consciously and unconsciously. I've heard parents tell their children, "You are just like this person or that person." Depending on what that person is or not, it connects the two energies. Some may say I am protected by God and nothing can happen to me because I don't believe in that. But what happens when the other person believes? Think about the power of prayer and asking God for certain things does God pick and choose what prayers to answer? Furthermore, it also said that God hears and answers ALL prayers.
Manifestations are not based on religion but on a personal belief to bring anything to life. Manifestations should be on the things that bring personal growth, turning around generational curses, increasing finances, restoring families and relationships, changing emotional and mental warfare, etc.
Man-I-Feast on anything that will bring me more of the things that I lack. I want more self-belief, money, business opportunities, self-love, creativity, self-knowledge, favor from God, humbleness, humility, laughs, longevity of life, and abundance. Make your manifestations count and watch the magic of it.
Untitled
I lay lifeless,
bright lights and spots,
My soul leaving my body
Cultural shock...
Deep breaths and pumps to my lungs
I resuscitate myself in my dreams
Clips of my life flashing
Manifestation gleams
My spirit dancing around my body
spitting libations upon my face
Death of tradition, what a great space
I choke on prayer, blink with hopes
breath in faith
Unbelief elopes...
