From road trips to plane trips, traveling is my favorite. There is nothing more exciting than getting away from everything and everyone sometimes.
I've been traveling since I was younger with my dad. He would always find little places to take my siblings and me whether it was for the summer or just for the weekend. Now that I am older, I understand why getting away was important to him.

The music, the culture, the dances, and the food I am simply in love with experiencing the beauty that is sprinkled across the world. I have met awesome people while traveling and it has helped me with coping and taking a break from overthinking.
Traveling and Tripping
The tension and anxiety of traveling come when preparing to get things ready, not forgetting things like medicine or underwear. Besides, we have Wal-Mart on every corner if that is the case. Then there is the stress of making sure to bring the right clothing that's suitable for the weather as you are unsure of the climate and weather conditions of where you are traveling regardless of what the meteorologists have predicted it to be.
Las Vegas had me in shambles as I traveled from Texas to Las Vegas with Texas clothing. I had long sleeves and shorts, sandals, boots, and a sheer top. I am used to the bipolar weather in Texas but Las Vegas gave me a run for my money. The Las Vegas wind tore the skin off my bones and my face. I found myself repeating the same long sleeve and pants for at least two days. (Lol!) Besides the weather, the view on the strip was amazingly exciting as the bright lights intrigued the eyes.
Miami had the best weather and the most amazing food at Bar One. I chose to get the oxtails and white rice which reminded me how being from the South was also a blessing. But the oxtails had a savory Caribbean flavor to die for and the vibes were amazing. Looking onto the water and feeling the breeze on 'Peter's Patio" couldn't have been more perfect than the trip itself.
The culture of dancing is the language of letting freedom ring. Dancing seems to liberate people from everyday stressors or just the thought of being free. Dancing to me seems to symbolically release chains from cares and worries. Jamaica and Mexico showed my theory to be plausible. The dancers moved in unison and made the art of dancing the highlight of my visit. There will never be a time when I travel out of the country and not experience the sight of the dance culture in these countries.
The many trips I have experienced have helped me take a break from work, home, business, and even family. It is something about the engine on the plane and the take-off that gives me the feeling of goodbye for now and just leaving me alone that puts a true smile on my face. If getting away helps your mental health, take the time out for yourself to do things that truly make you happy even if it is just getting away for the moment. I find mini-vacations to help ease mental stress. When you are in a position for others to depend on you for different reasons it can sometimes weigh you down this is more to deal with when facing mental illness because you often feel as though you have the world on your back and no one is there to support you. This is an even better reason for you to gently sit the world down and travel, trip and dance all over it to liberate and free yourself for a moment.
